A010 wooden roti press: preparation and care

The A010 Mahogany Wooden Roti Maker is a manual tool for pressing dough before cooking. Start with a small ball of soft dough and position it in the centre. Lower the lid carefully and apply gentle pressure through the handle. Open the press, remove the uncooked roti, and cook it on your usual tawa or pan.

For consistent preparation, keep the portions similar and adjust the dough softness as needed. The thickness depends on the amount of dough and the pressure used. This wooden press shapes the dough; cooking is a separate step. It needs no electrical connection, so you can use it on a suitable kitchen work surface.

After use, clear away flour and wipe the surfaces with a soft cloth. Let the wood dry before putting it away. Do not leave it soaking in water, and avoid forcing the handle. Check that the working area is clean before preparing your next batch.
